Mishe Bear was founded in 2021 by Aden Horowitz and Audrey Singer as a way to spread love and comfort to those in need of healing. Our idea for Mishe Bear came during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, when we found ourselves in need of meaningful gifts to lift the spirits of our family members suffering from illness. The first ever Mishe Bear was given to one of our family members who was in the hospital during the pandemic, who loved it so much that we decided we needed to spread Mishe’s fuzzy warmth throughout the community. Now, with a full stock of Mishe Bears, we are so excited to share Mishe's loving hugs to people in need all over the United States.
Our founders, Audrey Singer and Aden Horowitz, met on the student executive board of Penn Hillel when they were sophomores in college. They are currently seniors at the University of Pennsylvania.
We want to give back to the Jewish community and spread love to those who need it. We also want to support the organizations that make our community special.

The Mi Shebeirach is a prayer commonly recited at the end of Jewish services. There are mi shebeirachs for any person in need of some divine goodness, most notably those requiring healing.
